Solar Service Plans
Keep your system producing, and keep the cost of looking after it predictable. Two plans, no surprises, serviced by the same employee-owned crew that installs them.
A Solar Array Is A Machine On Your Roof
It has no moving parts, which is why it lasts decades. But it still has wiring that weathers, connections that loosen, inverters that fault, and monitoring that quietly stops reporting. Most systems don’t fail dramatically. They drift, producing a little less each season, until someone finally looks at the numbers.
A service plan puts a set of trained eyes on your system before that drift becomes a repair bill, and fixes the cost of the labor when work is needed. Atlasta has been installing solar on the Western Slope since 1979, and the electricians who service your system are the same employee-owners who put it up.
Why Homeowners Take A Plan
Labor Stops Being A Variable
On the Service Labor Plan, qualifying service work carries no additional labor cost. You pay a fixed monthly fee instead of an hourly rate you can’t predict.
Problems Found Early
An annual inspection checks panels, mounting, wiring, conduit, inverter and monitoring, so wear gets caught while it’s still a small job.
No Travel Charge Locally
Travel within 25 miles of our Grand Junction office is included on both plans. Beyond that it’s a flat $0.89 per additional mile.
The Crew Knows Your System
Atlasta is vertically integrated and employee-owned. Nothing is subcontracted, and our licensed electricians are co-owners of the company.
Choose Your Plan
Take one, or take both. The inspection tells you what shape your system is in. The labor plan covers putting it right.
Annual Solar Inspection
One comprehensive inspection of your system every year. The health check that tells you where you stand.
- Visual inspection of panels and mounting system
- Wiring, connections and conduit checked
- Inverter operational check
- Monitoring system verification
- Performance and production check
- Full check for visible damage or wear
Payable in full before scheduling. Valid for one year and renewable. You choose when in the year to book it.
Solar Service Labor Plan
Labor for qualifying service work at no additional cost, for as long as you’re on the plan.
- Troubleshooting performance issues
- Labor for repair of system components
- Inverter and monitoring diagnostics
- System wiring and connection issues
- Warranty-related service visits
Billed automatically each month, and it runs month to month. Cancel any time with 30 days’ written notice. Covers labor only.
One Repair Visit Pays For Eight Months
Without a plan, repair labor is billed at $170 for the first hour and $140 per hour after that. A single two-hour call-out therefore runs to around $310 — roughly eight months of the Service Labor Plan, for one visit.
That’s the whole argument. Systems that need no work cost you $39 a month for peace of mind. Systems that do need work almost always cost more than the plan did.
What The Plans Don’t Cover
We’d rather you knew the boundaries up front than found them out on an invoice.
Not Included On Either Plan
- Replacement parts, equipment or materials
- Major system upgrades or redesigns
- Damage from natural disasters, vandalism or misuse
- Electrical work unrelated to the solar system
- System removal or physical relocation
- Modifications such as bird netting or aesthetic changes
Priced Separately
- Panel cleaning — $39 per panel, per cleaning
- Repair labor without the Service Labor Plan — $170 first hour, $140 per hour thereafter
- Travel beyond 25 miles of Grand Junction — $0.89 per additional mile
- After-hours service, where available
Annual inspections don’t roll over — book yours within the contract year. Full terms are set out in the service agreement you’ll receive before anything is signed.
Not Sure Which One You Need?
Tell us roughly how old your system is and who installed it, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a plan is worth it yet. If Atlasta installed your system, we already have your site details on file.
