Wind Power

Wind Power

Atlasta Solar offers wind energy technology that produces renewable and sustainable power for decades into the future.

Reasons To Go With Wind Power

  • When the sun is at its lowest the wind is at its highest.
  • Rooftop wind turbines have high tech designs to maximize the power of the wind at lower wind speeds and heights.
  • Wind generators have many size systems that provide dependable energy for remote locations.
  • Integrating renewable energy is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint.
  • Supplement your electric bills and create clean power with wind;
    • Grid Tie Wind- Create power from wind to decrease your electric bill.
    • Off Grid Wind- Energy charges your battery bank (12/24/48 volts).

Southwest Windpower

Southwest Windpower offers personal wind turbines for remote (off-grid) systems which generate clean, low-cost electricity to help meet your energy needs. They came from modest beginnings but are becoming a worldwide leader in personal wind solutions.

Honeywell

Honeywell turbines are known for their weight and quiet characteristics, featuring the innovative Blade Tip Power System™ BTPS that utilizes a system of magnets and stators surrounding its outer ring to capture power at the blade tips where speed is greatest, practically eliminating mechanical resistance and drag.

How Wind Energy Works

  1. Wind turbines are mounted on a tower or pole.
  2. They capture the most energy at 100 feet or more above the ground where the wind is faster and less turbulent.
  3. When the wind blows, the turbine generates clean electricity for you to:
    • Use in a “Grid Tie” Application– If you use more power than you produce your utility power will take over, if you produce more than you use the utility company will buy that power from you.
    • Use in a “Off Grid” Application- The power you produce is used to charge a battery bank for your to use later
